Holiday Giving Opportunity!

Aloha Friends and Clients! The Holidays are upon us and Lissette and I are wishing everyone peace and prosperity no matter which ones you choose to celebrate!  If you are looking for a good cause to contribute to during these festive months, Project Hawaii is a 501(c)3 entity that purchases gifts for over 650 homeless children and distributes them directly to these needy youth on Hawaii island and Oahu.  Teens usually receive a gift certificate(s) and a backpack/sleeping bag.  Secret Santas provide younger kids a gift(s) that the children specifically request. If you would like to make a cash donation, Mary Spears will take care of the shopping for you!  You can make the donation to "Project Hawaii" and send your donation via USPS to Mary Spears, POB 847, Kamuela, HI 96743.  A big thanks to everyone that chooses to participate. Many Thanks For Giving! Happy Holidays!! Lissette and Rick Oliver

Kulalani at Mauna Lani Update-July 2017

Kulalani at Mauna Lani offers the best value for a higher density community in Mauna Lani Resort featuring 4 and 6-plex buildings. New Construction Update Developer’s sales reps report that the last 3 buildings with 16 units total will be under construction or finished before the end of 2017. These are buildings 13, 14 and 15 composed of 2 six-plex buildings and 1, four-plex building. None of these units have been released for sale as of July 6, 2017. These last buildings are at the back of the community offering the least amount of through traffic and great views of the Mauna Lani North golf course. There are 21 total units to sell and complete the project. Based on sales from the previous 6 months the absorption rate is 1.5 units a month. By my best estimation the project will be sold out sometime at the end of the summer 2018. The Kulalani sales models are also for sale-units 102 and 104. Unit 104 is sold furnished and unit 102 is sold unfurnished. Kulalani at Mauna Lani New Home Price List Kulalani at Mauna Lani ...

Tahiti the original Hawai’i

French Polynesia including the Society, Tuamotu and Marquesas islands are our favorite vacation destination. We are fortunate enough to have visited yearly for the last 10 years. Many of our friends and clients ask us why we would vacation in another tropical destination similar to where we live full time. The answer is, more of a good thing is a good thing!! Direct flights are available from Honolulu offering no jet lag as Tahiti is on the same time zone. Tahiti is in the southern hemisphere therefore the opposite season as Hawaii. Visiting in the summer offers winter whale watching opportunities in Tahiti. The various islands offer seclusion and lagoons filled with warm aqua waters and abundant sea life. Food delicacies are numerous and include one of our favorites, poison cru the Tahitian version of Hawaiian Poke or Ceviche found in many south and Central American countries and the Caribbean. For my many clients and friends that visit their Hawaii homes, couple it with a trip to Tahiti for the full Polynesian experience. ...

Winter at Mauna Kea Summit January 2017

On a recent Saturday afternoon Lissette and I decided to drive to the Mauna Kea Summit located at 13,800’ above sea level to check out the snow conditions and watch sunset. It’s a 1:15 minute drive straight up hill from our home at sea level along the Kohala Coast and totally worth it for the incredible vistas to our side of the island and beyond. We were greeted by snow covered, lava cones and an ethereal vista filled with wispy clouds and cold blasts of 25 degree dry air. We are truly blessed to be able to drive to the tallest mountain in the world located in our own “back yard” on a whim:) Let us know if you would like to consider owning Big Island property in the future where experiences like this are frequent and plentiful!
