Nohea’s Homes feature Custom Hardwood Trim

Our Nohea at Mauna Lani Homes features custom hardwood trims throughout, including a custom grid pattern for the great room and master suite ceiling crown in every home. We use sustainable Alder wood for the trim and doors as it's grain pattern is appealing, easily stained, and holds it's shape even in a humid climate. Our custom ceiling grids were developed, starting with our first home at lot ten, and we created three different patterns for lots 21, 25, and 29. The photos are of lot 29's trim, doors, and cabinetry. Notice the slab entry door where we used pivot hinges to allow the door to open and shut like a bank vault. We had the door manufacturer apply the mahogany wood veneer in a horizontal pattern to mimic the cabinetry. The ceiling grid is a custom pattern we developed for each home, and in lot 29, it mimics palm frond outlines and highlights.
